At the Moab Giants Dinosaur Museum & Park, you can walk where the dinosaurs once roamed the land. This interactive dinosaur trail and museum is definitely worth the drive if you’d like to learn more about these ancient behemoths and view the desert landscape where they once roamed.
Hell’s Revenge 4X4 Trail
Are you a major 4X4 enthusiast? Hell’s Revenge intersects with Slick Rock Trail, offering a different type of challenge for outdoor adventurers with the 4X4 bug. Here you can rent a Jeep or bring out your own suped-up rock-crawler and climb up and down the petrified dunes. This 6.5-mile trail is not for the faint of heart and typically takes 2-3 hours to conquer. Keep in mind, it’s best to go with a group and bring along a few spare tires just to be safe.
Slickrock Trail
Slickrock Trail isn’t for your typical beach cruiser. Instead, its a place to test your mountain bike skills on it’s slippery, sandpaper trail. As a challenging 13-mile loop over ancient terrain, it’s important to bring your own tools, supplies, and water.
Corona Arch
Much like the Delicate Arch, the Corona Arch is at the top of the list of things to see in Moab, Utah. Like a rainbow of liquid rock that you can walk beneath, the Corona Arch is located a mile and a half from the trailhead off UT-279 and the Colorado River.
Canyonlands National Park
As the largest national park in the state of Utah, the Canyonlands National Park will stagger your imagination with its spectacular views and 1500 foot mesa. From lofty viewpoints, you can see over 100 miles in any direction, resulting in panoramic views that boggle the mind. Here you can take a short day trip or spend a relaxing afternoon waiting for the sun to set.
Arches National Park
Located four miles north of Moab is the Arches National Park that’s famously known for its amazing concentration of sandstone arches that were formed by earthquakes, water, wind, and other erosion. With over 2,000 arches to see in the parks 120 square miles, this park provides plenty of wonder for a hiking adventure.
